Marcus Engeman is the Managing Director of Hoffmann Reed’s Executive Search Australia, where he leads the firm’s executive search operations across the region with a steadfast commitment to excellence in candidate and client care. Partnering with organisations to secure outstanding, high-impact leaders, Marcus brings deep expertise in complex national and international executive searches spanning health, higher education, medical research, and the for-purpose sector.

Before joining Hoffmann Reed, Marcus served as Deputy Managing Director at a global consulting firm, where he spent five years overseeing a diverse range of senior leadership appointments across the APAC region. Earlier in his career, he was Chief Operating Officer of the Queensland Children’s Medical Research Institute, a collaboration between Children’s Health Queensland, the Children’s Hospital Foundation, UQ, and QUT. He has also held leadership roles as General Manager of a national charity and worked in research and infrastructure management at QUT.

Beyond his professional achievements, Marcus has contributed extensively to industry and community initiatives. He has served on the Accreditation Council of the Australasian Research Management Society (ARMS), is a Graduate of the AICD Company Directors Course (GAICD), and has held key advisory positions, including Chair of the Queensland Advisory Board for the Starlight Children’s Foundation and Advisory Board member for Nabu AI.
